A diversity of roles, settings, and trainings, and my own life experiences all continue to influence my approach. I have worked as a crisis counsellor, individual and group therapist in an anxiety disorders organisation, university counsellor and as a counselling and psychotherapy trust practitioner. Currently, in addition to my private practice, I am a lecturer in counselling. This combination keeps the interplay between theory and practice fresh in my mind and I find my work rich and fulfilling.
In my previous life, I was a post-doctoral ecologist. This may sound irrelevant but I find that this background manifests as a deep curiosity and interest in how we interact with each other, within ourselves, and with our personal ‘environment’.
I am experienced in working with a broad range of issues and enjoy learning about the latest developments in counselling and psychotherapy through ongoing CPD training.
I am fully qualified and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and abide by their professional code of conduct and ethical framework.
